This talk is a compilation of many visits made at different times of the year. It
looks at the birds and other wildlife on both the Inner and the Outer Hebrides.
Going wild in the Hebrides
A brief outline of the history and work of the Royal Society for the Protection of
Birds including slides of garden birds and other common British species. An ideal
introduction for this with no particular knowledge of the subject.
A talk covering the history of the Red Kite in Britain and the successful project
to reintroduce the species into the Chilterns. Also included are some of the other
aspects of the natural history of the area.
Birds of Finland & Arctic Norway
A look at some of the birds to be found in the wetlands of southern Finland, the
northern taiga forests and the tundra and coastal areas of arctic Norway.
Journey to Iceland
This talk starts, as did the journey, with some of the birds of the Shetland isles
and the Faroes and finishes with a look at both the birds and spectacular scenery
